Pride and Selfridges
This image was gathered from Pride 2019. I have had a number of different views from this event on the backburner. I needed fresh eyes to look at the drawings and photos again in order to decide which one to do first.
The giclée was created from a series of reduction linocuts that were then stitched together in Photoshop. I flipped the green man around in my initial drawing to join the procession.
Hiroshige created a number of views that used a procession a theme. In this print though the use of reduction lino led me to reference the English printmaker Chris Wormell, who’s early lino cuts inspired me when I first started making prints.
I hope you like this print. I loved making it and I’m really happy with how it turned out.
If you want to purchase the giclee print, delivery can take as long as two weeks but I aim to be as quick as possible.
Eventually this will be made as an original print, priced at ÂŁ150, but for the moment I’m focussing upon working through the views.
