Grand Central Revisited

This print’s title refers to a revisiting of the print rather than to the station, which I visit frequently. When I first created this print, I rushed it out to have it ready for an exhibition at the Basement Cafe and Bakery in Harborne (sadly lost to us). I ended up collaging bits of partially successful prints together for the exhibition, just to avoid a gap on the wall. I was not happy with it and did not show it again. I loved the composition though and knew that my problems with the print were connected to some of the subtleties of tone and reflection not being fully resolved. Having worked on it again, I’m happy. I feel I can include it in my series.

The other print that I have struggled with and at the moment I’m holding back, is Curzon Street Station, perhaps it is something to do with stations.

If you want to purchase the giclée print, delivery can take as long as two weeks but I aim to be as quick as possible.
