St. Paul’s and Stair Rods
For this scene I took the decision to complete quite a sustained drawing on site rather than rely upon quick thumbnails and photographs. The perspective of the BT tower is very tricky and really needs some drastic editing decisions to give a truer sense of how it is when you are there. In addition it is really hard to spot the tower through the trees so a little visual pruning in the drawing was used to open the trees up a little and reveal Brum’s Mount Fuji.

I particularly like the splash of orange/red on the dog walker’s jacket. It reminds me of a chop mark seen on many of Hiroshige’s prints.

Prints may take two weeks from the point of order. They are however usually much faster.
