Fleet Street Footbridge
A low light on a cold and sunny Autumn afternoon between lockdowns. This bridge is unusual and I have always liked it. It is positioned across from the Coffin Works on Fleet Street.
I feel this is a quieter print in the series, perhaps it does not jump out from the crowd like some. I do like the water in this piece, it is almost abstract in the mark making and colours. The low sun made windows reflect beams of sunlight onto areas of the buildings opposite. In places the bridge got in the way and patches of light appear seemingly at random.
This print was put together using an engraved key block that was scanned as a series of printed layers and joined together in Photoshop. The intention is to recreate it as an original print in the future but in the meantime it exists only as a giclée.
If you want to purchase the giclée print, delivery can take as long as two weeks but I aim to be as quick as possible.
