Commonwealth Cricket
Created during the Commonwealth Games. The match is England Women vs NZ – the group match thankfully rather than the semi final. It is of course Edgbaston Stadium with it’s rather iconic E shaped floodlights. What a great atmosphere.
Because this was a commission with a deadline (for the England fast bowling coach who was leaving) I decided to work in a mixture of media including drypoint, lino and monotype, with the resulting layers being put together digitally – so it doesdn’t exist as an original print. The giclee is beautiful however.
