Made with slow drying oil based inks, this print stayed on the print racks for a long time and a number of other prints came and went while I waited for the ink to totally dry before adding the final layers.
The heron was there when I went to visit, although admittedly it didnt pose so close by in a way that created a balanced composition. I like the strength of the colours and I did work with dark layers to start, adding lighter layers over the top several times in order to create the vibrancy of colour that I was after.
