Technically this was a very tricky print to create. I used engraving, lino and drypoint – combining relief and intaglio processes. The layers though went together quite simply and each layer works quite hard: changing colour as it moves across the print or becoming part of a reflection or a layer underneath the concrete wall.
This view is not taken from the much more interestingly named Needless Alley, it is the next one on. It doesn’t have the interesting name but it does have a much better view of St Philips. In hindsight, I should have called this print ‘Not Needless Alley’.
