Beekeeper and Copper Beeches
This print depicts my friend George who makes incredible pots as well as being a beekeeper. He suited me up in the bee proof attire, gave me a good deal of his time and was very patient in posing for photos and videos.
I was a little taken aback by the bees, it’s mesmerising to see them en masse, quite meditative I think. They didn’t really pose for photos.
George had a little tidy up, gave them some sugar syrup to help them through winter and chased the queen round with a green Posca pen.
The copper beeches back on to Winterbourne and this print is one of my series within a series of the house and gardens.
