Birmingham Botanical Gardens
The original edition of prints for this image was created using Japanese woodcut for the background. This process is quite different for me and adds an element of uncertainty. The foreground is made using my more familiar method of linocut and combining the two processes was challenging, mostly because the paper needs to be dampened for the woodcut method and that makes the paper shrink. Anyway, I like the loose, watercolour effect of the woodcut and I will definitely be using it more in the future despite it’s challenges.
Prints may take two weeks from the point of order. They are however usually much faster.

A4 prints are shipped flat via Royal Mail’s tracked service. A3 prints are shipped rolled carefully in a tube and posted Royal Mail tracked.
