Evening Visitors, Winterbourne
I think this might be my final view of Winterbourne in the series. The two ducks were residents rather than visitors I think and had got used to bothering cafe customers sitting outside on the terrace. The male duck came and sat on my foot when I was eating lemon drizzle cake – a little bit presumptuous.
I have a blue green ink that I used on the male duck and I have always thought it should be renamed mallard green. I did’nt mix it with other colours but put it on the block straight out of the tub.
I made a decision early on to have the two ducks slightly sticking out of the frame which does present a bit of a technical challenge.
